Brief Description:  NACA fresh air scoop

I ordered the NACA scoop and tubing from Van's prior to waiting for it in the fuse kit, so that I could final close the wings up.

I marked out the location on the wing and set out the rivets I wanted to set. After drilling the scoop to the wing skin, I fabricated two doublers so that the rivets had something to bite into.

After forming and deburring them, they were matched drilled and then primed along with the scoop.

I didn't use any pro-seal, but a layer of RTV under the scoop to form a nice seal. After riveting it onto the wing, I added a piece of window screen onto the intake prior to permanantly attaching the tubing. Don't want any bugs or whatever coming through!
